Description: This house was purchased by our clients with deteriorating plaster cladding and leaky rooftop decks. The brief was a full re-clad to improve the weathertightness of the building while modernising the façade. A full replacement of exterior cladding was undertaken with new shiplap weatherboards over cavity battens, and the balconies were redesigned and built with membranes and floating pavers. All the window and door joinery was redesigned and replaced to take advantage of the amazing sea views.

The clients made an early request to not end up with just another re-clad house. They wanted to take the opportunity to have fun with the design and make a statement to the street. We collaborated with the clients in the design process to frame the decks and front windows with a strip of blue aluminium, complete with colour controlled LED strip lighting.
